Murus Structural Insulated Panels (also referred to as SIPs, stress skin panels, foam core panels, or sandwich panels) are a highly energy efficient alternative building material that is superior to 2x stud and fiberglass batt construction for exterior wall, roof, and floor applications in residential and light commercial construction. Murus SIPs are shipped throughout North America from our manufacturing facility in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. Murus panels are comprised of either a Polyurethane (PUR) rigid insulating core or an Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) rigid insulating core bonded between sheets of structurally rated Oriented Strand Board (OSB). Murus structural insulated panels provide insulated, finish-ready exterior and interior surfaces and the composite construction of Murus panels speeds installation for faster shell-in.
Murus EPS SIP
Murus Polyurethane SIP
Whether you choose PUR or EPS, Murus structural insulated panels offer superior insulating properties with R-values as high as 6.76 per inch of wall thickness for optimal energy efficiency. Murus SIPs are engineered to be thermally stable, maintaining their R-value over time, and can save significantly on heating and cooling energy consumption, making them an ideal component for most green building projects.
Energy efficiency, a healthy living environment, design flexibility, fast installation - these are just some of the rewards for building with Murus SIPs - a better way to build for a better way to live.
